Ten thousand, two hundred and twenty-two days / Over two hundred and forty-five thousand hours /
Countless hugs, Eskimo kisses, and snuggles / An AMAZING support system /
Two amazing children / Not one, but two PERFECT grandchildren
One amazing life / One incredible family / One great journey together
Here’s to the little days in between that mean the most. (Like Paw always says)
We are our happily ever after.

“Know what’s more special than Valentine’s Day? YOU!” Cupid shot us with the love bug yet again. Fun Fact: He’s shot us everyday since the day you were born. You see, since that fateful November day, all of our smiles start with y o u . Life is filled with a lot of things that make it worthwhile, but nothing beats the love we find in your gorgeous smile! Our forever Valentine.

We went from playing soccer at the park to building snowmen in the frontyard within a month’s time. You gotta love that east coast weather!

Do you wanna build a snow maaaaaan? & Yes, your vision is working perfectly fine. That is lipstick on Laila Bear’s mouth because she insisted she have some on for the snow festivities.

April’s such a special month. My Grandpa Rennie and Grandma Joan have birthdays in April. And I heard that “April showers bring May flowers” and everyone knows how much I love flowers. I almost love museums just as much! Speaking of which, here are some pics from when Mommy and me took a trip to The Children’s Museum of Richmond! My favorite part was the Neri Grocery Store because I was able to write up a grocery list, grab a shopping cart, and pick up all the necessary items for Grandma and G-Pay to make all my yummy favorites! Not to mention, I was able to sort the veggies and count along the way. Mommy loves finding fun and exciting ways for me to learn new things!

They say children see magic because they look for it. Which makes perfect sense. There are no such thing as seven wonders of the world in Laila Bear’s eyes. There’s seven MILLIONS. And our wish for you is that never changes. As it is, kids don’t remember their “best day of television.” These are the times she won’t forget. Strolls through the park with daddy by her side.

Jumping into the best time of the year (or maybe 1A to Christmas) like… We kicked the month off with my first (of many) dance classes followed by a baby shower for Mommy and our little MVP during July 4th Weekend. (Can you guess that the theme was “All-Star MVP?”) Next stop: Virginia Beach with Grandma Joan, Grandpa Rennie, Auntie Nads, Uncle Mani, Shawn, Anna, and Grandma Yolanda. And let’s not forget our new addition: Baby Alex. While he couldn’t see anything, he was definitely present.

While our waiting game was quickly coming to a close, we decided to make the most of the last few days of summer. Auntie Sulie and Shawn met Auntie Nads in My Jammy for their annual birthday getaway, and as you can imagine, this one was awfully special with Shawn along for the ride. From boat rides to photo ops to drag brunch OMG. Can we go back?
From Laila’s week-long Adventure Camp at the U.S. Marine Corps Museum, to spending mornings at the local farmer’s market and learning about all the colorful and yummy (okay, maybe not so yummy), to play dates at Quincy Park or simply taking strolls around our beautiful neighborhood… Like Grandpa Rennie said at Mommy and Daddy’s wedding, “It’s not about the big days… But the little days in between.”

ALEXANDER TODD WATSON was born September 18th. Weighing in at 8 pounds, 14 ounces. [Jay Z voice] Just in time – two days to be exact – for Mommy and Daddy’s five year anniversary. Your big sister Laila Bear just could not wait to meet you. To be honest, no one could. So much so that the hospital waiting room was full a whole 24 hours early. Grandma Yolanda, Grandma Joan, Grandpa Rennie, Auntie Julie, Auntie Joyce, Auntie Wendy, Cousin Big Baby Davo, Uncle Felix… You had quiet the squad waiting to welcome you into the world. And that’s not even half… But the best part? They’re not going anywhere.

I’ve got Hawaiian rolls for cheeks. I’ve been getting some good rest, although I could get some more… Listen, y’all. This baby life is no zoke. Did I mention I got thousands of chests to choose from when it comes to my bedtime? Especially this month when I was FINALLY introduced to my Auntie Nad’s cess. I heard she took a big bird all the way cross country just to see me. Am I special or what? She took me to my first trip to the US Botanical Garden where I had my first family photoshoot. It was a little too muggy for me but at least we got to see butterflies. They’re my big sister’s favorite.
Speaking of my big sis, she has been showing me the ropes. Mommy’s head over heels for me. I’ve got daddy wrapped around my finger. My grandparents and great aunt are spoiling me like crazy (Did I mention I just had my sleepover at Grandma Joan and G-Pay’s house? I slept in my auntie’s bed and I hope she knows that she’ll be sharing with me at Christmastime). What more can I say other than life is good, guys. Great, actually. As a matter of fact, this out-of-the-womb life is pretty perfect.
Alas! Halloween has arrived. The day Laila Bear had been waiting for. Despite the scary skelekans, our gorgeous fairy princess was overjoyed to “Go to Halloween.” Sadly, Bat Baby Alex had to sit this one out but something tells me he was perfectly content with sleeping on Grandpa’s chess while Joker and Bat Bae took the fairy princess around the block. She was scared, at first, by Daddy’s mask but being the brave little soul she is, she took it like a champ.

Laila Bear celebrated her big f o u r in style. Arguably the most epic dance party of the year, she had all her friends and cousins in attendance. I’m pretty sure they’re still talking about how much fun they had. From dancing, to parachuting, to pizza, and presents, it was hands down the best for the best.
Hello mr. christmas!
Guys, guys… It’s upon us! We went to go see Santa and yeah he may look a little crookish but the most important thing here is he knows what I want for Christmas anddd he told me me and my sistuh have been very good this year.
